Hospitality vacancy?

I am an Indian. I have worked in the hospitality industry for the last 15 years. Is there any chance of getting a job in your country?

Christy -

Applying for work in a country where you are not currently residing can be quite challenging.

There are a few places where you can search for international openings in the hospitality industry, including CaterGlobal.com and eHotelier.

However, finding openings is only the first part of finding a job outside of your country of residence. A major challenge lies with getting authorization to work in the country where you want to live. You may find that some employers who advertise on international sites are able to sponsor workers to come to their country, but this is often not the case.

You can find out what's involved in applying for a Visa to come to the United States to work on the U.S. Department of State's website.

It may be in your best interest to work with a search firm that specializes in international placements within the hospitality industry. If you are interested in this option, you may want to consider contacting International Hotel Recruitment and/or Global Hospitality to see what is involved with working with them as a job seeker.

You may also want to see if you can get a job with a hotel chain in your area that has a presence in the U.S., then go through the process of applying for international promotions when opportunities become available.

I hope this helps.
