Work on keeping your grades high and doing well on your standardized exams so you can do well in high school and then go on to a pre-med program and ultimately medical school. -- Contributed by: Fhadajah LintonPardon me, I'm Izabelle. I was wondering what type of particular degree you will need to become a pediatrician and to enter this career, is there an exam that you need to take (ex. state, country, Civil Service exam)? If yes, which ones? Thank you very much.
-- Contributed by: IzabelleRegina - In order to become a Pediatrician, you'll need to earn an undegraduate degree in an area such as Pre-Med, Biology, or Chemistry. You'll need to maintain an outstanding grade point average, and earn high marks on the MCAT, which is the admissions exam for medical schoool. Once you apply for and are accepted to medical school, you'll complete several years of classroom training, formal clinical rotations, and then additional clinical training in your area of specialty. If you don't already have your Bachelor's degree, you are probably looking at a minimum of 8 years of formal training. Best of luck with your career choice. Keep focused on your goals and make sure you keep your grades high.
