You can apply for employment with Walmart online and browse a wide range of jobs. Whether you're interested in a local store, distribution, technology, or corporate position, you can access all open positions from one career portal.

How to Find and Apply for a Walmart Job

You will need to start at the Walmart Careers page on the company website. From that page, you will click on the area of interest, such as Stores & Clubs, Corporate, Healthcare, Technology, and Distribution Centers and Drivers, Healthcare, the position you're interested in and review the qualifications. Once you've completed your application, you can sign up for Job Alerts by entering your email in the Job Alerts box and submitting it for each type of job you wish to be notified that becomes available.

Registration Process to Create an Account

Stores & Clubs and Distribution Centers and Drivers application process are the same. However, Corporate, Healthcare and Technology applications include CV/Resume attachments, cover letters and the option of using your LinkedIn information. You'll need to create an account before you can apply for any position at Walmart.

  1. You'll need an active email account where you can receive notifications about your application.
  2. Setup an account to ensure that if for some reason you cannot complete your application in one sitting, you can log back on to finish it later.
  3. Once you've set up your account, you'll be asked basic questions about yourself that you may feel free not to answer (gender, ethnicity).
  4. You'll be asked about your experience in retail, grocery, etc.
  5. You'll be asked to select the type of facility you prefer to work (Walmart, Sam's, or Logistics).
  6. You'll also be asked which city you would like to work in so that you may be matched with the appropriate store.

Store & Clubs, Distribution Centers and Drivers

If you choose to apply for a position at a local Walmart or Sam's Club stores, you'll need to complete an online application. This will require around 45 minutes to an hour to complete. If you can't do it all at once, you can save it as a draft and finish it later.

  • It will remain on the system for 60 days.
  • The application form is available online in English and Spanish.
  • If you have a disability that prohibits you from applying online, you can go to your nearest store and request assistance.

The application process for healthcare, technology and corporate jobs is different from the jobs at the stores and distribution centers. Each career opportunity listing, like the other category offers details specific to the job with a link to complete the application process.

  1. The application process offers you the ability to complete your application by using your LinkedIn information.
  2. You also have the option to attach, paste or dropbox your CV or resume and cover letter.
  3. You can include a link to your LinkedIn profile or personal website.
  4. You will also need to answer a few questions, such as:
    • "How did you hear about this job?"
    • "In one sentence, what makes you unique?"
    • "Do you currently, or have you ever, worked for Walmart or any of its affiliates?" If so, you are provided a space to explain with details.
    • "Will you now or in the future require 'sponsorship for an immigration-related employment benefit?'"
  5. You have the option of providing additional information, such as your gender, ethnicity and military experience.
  6. Your resume/application will be identified by the job so recruiters can have access to all resumes/applications for specific positions.
  7. Applications are reviewed and sorted by personnel associates to match with open positions.If your qualifications are a fit, you'll be contacted to start the interview process. This could be a phone interview as a preliminary screening process.
